About Me

Who Am I?

Hi, I'm Mateusz Kluczek I graduated from University College Cork (UCC), Cork, Ireland with PhD degree in applied mathematics. My research describes nonlinear wave-current interactions in the nearshore. I studied mathematical aspects of geophysical flows on the Earth.

The geophysical fluid dynamics is study of naturally occuring and large-scale flows mostly on Earth. The main characteristic of geophysical flow are the effects of rotation and stratification. The project was funded by Science Foundation of Ireland.

Afterwards, I worked at Technion, Haifa, Israel as a postdoc. My work was still concerned with nonlinear wave interactions, but I focus on probability characteristics of rogue waves. Rouge waves are phenomenon occuring on the oceans where the interactions between different type of waves is a cause of an occurence of a wave with unexpectedly high amplitude.

Nowdays, I expand my carrier in the high-tech/fin-tech sector where I can utilise all the expirience and skills built at academia.

MicroStrategy April 2022-June 2023

I worked as a Consultant at Microstrategy. I worked in the team responsible for data management. I was responsible for reporting and preparing the data for the customer cases. I also took a part in the enterprise support and prepared the customer to transfer from on-prem to cloud environment.

Technion October 2019-September 2021

I was appointed as a Postdoctoral fellow at Technion. I studied stabillity of nonlinear equations modelling rouge wave based on NLS and Zakharov equations, which are suitabely transformed using statistical tools to Alber-type equations. Study of so-called crossing-sea state can allow to deduce some properties and probability of occurence of unexpectedly high waves.

I graduated from UCC with PhD degree in the topic of nonlinear geopysical water waves.

The object of my studies was an analysis of exact and explicit solution of the nonlinear geophysical Euler equations with investigation the near shore wave-current interactions.

I completed Master Degree in Financial Mathematics at Siedlce Univeristy of Natural Sciences and Humanities.

My studies covered not only financial aspects, but also a range of applied mathematics subjects ie. partial differential equations, computional mathematics, mathematical modelling, mathematical statistics.

At Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities I recieved a Bachelor Degree in Financial and Acturial Mathematics. During my bachelor degree I learnt the mathematical aspects of financial and actuarial models used in modern financial and state insitutions.
